The Burning Forest

A burning forest in front of me,
Ground disappearing, catching up with me.
Death awaits in front of me, behind of me.
Right here is safe, but not for long.
I have to make a move.
Now.

Smoke has been invading me since 18.
I live by the craving of smokes in me,
I might as well die from it.
Cause I'm sure, that's where I'll end up.

I sprint toward the fire.
Hoping the fire within me will overcome
The fire outside of me.
Sweats, suffocating, sins.
I lived.

The burning forest has become me.
As I survived the burning forest
I'm welcomed by paradise.

From the ashes of the burning forest,
Lives begin.
Including mine.
